Eóin Mangan is a new member of the team who joined in 2021.

Growing up in Lahardane at the foot of Nephin Mountain inspired in him a great love for the outdoors and an appetite for new adventures!

He has travelled and worked all over the world and now he works on the family farm and as a Cooper for Dair Nua, Cooperage based in Foxford. A cooper is a very old craft and Eoin is one of only 7 in the country, making specialised whiskey and wine casks to supply the growing number of distilleries in Ireland. A cooper also repairs and rejuvenates old casks for companies like Jameson etc.

On his farm, he runs a herd of Pedigree Wicklow cheviot sheep, grows oats, potatoes and all their own veg and some fruits.

How he has the time or energy after all that to join us on call-outs, is anyone’s guess but there he is...
